to get a camera the easy way is to win is right? i was out the whole day snapping away. borrowed a cam from my uncle. digi-compact. okok lah. so this post is gonna be some sort of photo-blog. i think. of course the photos i'm gonna send in wont be in here lah. who knows if someone uses it or something. so aniwae, here we go.first and foremost when buying batteries for any occasion, make sure you dun get ripped off. as you can see, both batteries are of the same brand BUT one costs $1.60 more than the other. ass. (like pizza hut? another ripoff. why? refer to bottom.)
the 'theme' of the competition is What makes Singapore so Singaporean? so i thought, THE MERLION! once i got out of The Esplanade, walked around and then WTF. Mr Merlion seems to be taking a shower. what an ass. btw, theres loads of tourists there. they got ripped off too, hoping to see a water-vomitting lion-fish but it was taking a shower. hah.
i moved on and walked along the singapore river.
and then for the first time ever, I SAW THE STATUE OF MR RAFFLES WITH MY OWN TWO EYES! this was the first time ever that i've seen the friggin statue right infront of me, not in a book. ok lah, sounds ridiculous, but its the truth. theres also quite a number of tourists. Ang Mohs! love their accent. below is the plaque from the statue. take note of the scratches. which friggin ass would do such stuff. if its a tag, ok lah, but scratch.
then i got no more idea what to take. went to orchard. was hoping to shoot the people is their discount-shopping mood, but theres something better. it seemed that it was the singapore food festival and today is the king chili crap thingy. everyone is eating chili crabs. of course the crab that was used to cook is not a halal one, but the smell was totally unexplainable. one of the things that you can smell but never taste. at night, there was this other tent. in it was many many of those banquet things where they place the food. there were about 40 or maybe more of those. everyone of them contains chili crab but of different recipes. haizz. if only its halal.
the car wasnt fast enough to blur out the background, but it did work to a small extent. you know how to do it? theres no editing done. its straight from the cam. =)
*pizza hut is ripping you off*
just like the batteries, pizzas are also the same.
pizza hut sells a regular pizza for 15bucks(rounded off). i repeat. A, as in ONE pizza for 15bucks. the ever famous 241canadian pizza sells 2/TWO regular pizzas for 20bucks(also rounded off). so if you divide it by 2, each reqular canadian pizza costs only 10bucks. this means that pizza hut charges you 5dollars more for a regular pizza. ok, thats not all. if canadian profits from selling each regular at 10bucks, what about pizza hut. thats canadian's profit+5bucks. think about that.

another ripoff. no matter how much discount is given, the seller will surely gain a profit. unless its a warehouse clearence sale or something. lets say a tv is produced in the factory for 200bucks. the shop sells it for 500bucks. this means the the shop gains 300bucks. then during a 50%discount, it'll be priced at 250bucks. ehk, they still gain 50 bucks. ahah. not many realise abt this. of course you cant do anything abt it coz its how it is. its just something thats cool to think about.
