sore throat that leads to strepsils overdose
Sunday, January 21, 2007
sec one orientation was stupid. the programme that is. the school has moved to a new location. new teachers are teaching and the system has obviously changed. all the levels are having camps at the same time. orientation camp, NYAA camp, sec 3 camp and study camp. in a way its a good idea, but when you look into things, its all a mess. orientation is meant for the sec ones to get to know each other and stuff. its supposed to be fun. but, in between the fun, it's sort of a boot camp. they're asked to read the school's vision, mission, etc. again and again. sick i tell you.i was still having sore throat when the camp started. bought a box of strepsils before heading for school. so it started. they're made to sit in their groups. to do that, you have to call out the group number right. so with my already sore-ing voice, i shouted fifteen! one-five! crazy i tell you. took attendance and introduced ourselves(zheng hao and me) to the group. more shouting during dinner, supper and breakfast. coffee! tea! that was during supper. which idiot placed coffee in the drinks list for SUPPER and expected the sec ones to sleep early. lights out was at around one. only some of them slept. some stayed up, chatted away. one even asked permission to take a photo of the reservoir at night. yes it's a good scenery, BUT YOU HAVE TO SLEEP.
on the first day of orientation, i saw this female teacher. sorry i don't know her name. hah. so anyway, she was holding on to a DSLR! it was so fucking tempting i tell you. its the EOS 400D! latest in his collection. ermm, the school's collection i mean. i just have to ask her whether i can use that camera, and i did just that. went up to her and asked, "cher, is that your camera." she said, "ermm, no. it's mr liang lu's." i was just about to ask whether i can use it when she said that she knows i'm from the photography club. she passed me the cam and kept saying it was new so must be careful and stuff. hah. and i snapped away. went upstage, downstage, front of the hall, back of the hall, in the middle of the sec ones. it was fun i tell you. haha. thank god for DSLR.
one word. talent time. my group did this cheer thing. haha. anyhow did it lor. made fools of ourself, all in the name of fun.
overall, it was ok.
