forced migration
Wednesday, February 14, 2007
just as i've guessed it, bloggers are forced to switch to the new blogger which is under google. come on google. as if youtube isn't enough, you have to take control of blogger. you going to hold on to every websites available on the net is it? aiyoyo.

JAE 2007. logged in, filled up and submitted. it was a very hard decision to make, but it has been done. making the decision was quite a challenge. noting down factors such as interest, campus location, campus surrounding and job prospects. i was stuck with picking either Nework Systems and Security(NSS) or Aeronautical Engineering(AE) as my first choice. the thing is, NSS is quite unknown to the world. though we daily use internet, we hardly hear of the people behind it. people who worked on it are somehow the background people. unlike NSS, AE is quite visual. you see people servicing airplanes and stuff. that was the thing that changed my mind. roughly knowing what the NSS teaches you is fun. like, voice over IP(is it?) where you use the net to call someone in a foreign country to cut telephone charges. but then, the lab is only so small with a couple of rooms. the thing you'll get to touch, as in hands-on are the networking devices. job prospects are quite good because the girl that talked to me about it said she got a job offer from the company she was attached to and also the vendor. furthermore, Singapore is going wireless by 2015. so, there should be quite a number of job opportunity by that time. hands-on for AE would be rather interesting because we'd be touching planes! know how things work, its structure and stuff. i just cant wait.

out of the 12 available choices, i only put down 5. they are as follows.
1) Aeronautical Engineering
2) Network Systems and Security
3) Computer Engineering
4) Aerospace Technology
5) Product Design and Innovation
